Sleep under the Northern Lights

Sleep under the Northern Lights

Far in the north of Lapland, nights unfold in deep stillness. Here, darkness is pure and the sky stretches endlessly above the fells. On most clear nights, the Northern Lights appear with soft green and pink waves that ripple across the horizon. Statistically, they are visible on about 75% of clear nights, which means that when the sky is open, you are more likely to see them than not.

The western fells often keep the clouds away, and when the sky is clear, our northern location gives some of the best chances in the world to witness the aurora. Add to this the complete absence of light pollution and you have the perfect conditions for sleeping under the Northern Lights.

Arctic Nature Glamping

- Silence, Fire and Wilderness

Find a secret hideout in the forest where silence is broken only by the crackle of fire. This is more than accommodation, it is a complete experience of Arctic stillness.

Inside the luxury tent you’ll lie beneath a skylight and a wide window that opens to the wilderness. The tent is insulated and warmed by a wood-burning stove whose steady glow you keep alive through the night. There are no other people around, only you, the snow and the slow rhythm of the fire.

Outside, the darkness is absolute; when the clouds clear, the auroras often appear vividly above the trees.

These are the nights that stay with you, quiet, simple and real.

”Wow! Amazing from start to finish!
Check in was super easy as were were collected from and dropped back to our hotel. Saija also fit these times around our hotel plans. The glamping pod was lovely and warm when we arrived with a fire on the go and we arrived to aurora’s in the sky which were stunning! Others in our hotel had missed this night due to cloud coverage so the location was perfect! It was close enough to Saija’s home for her to deliver delicious food to our door, but far enough out to feel secluded and see the beautiful sky. I highly reccomend the evening meal too, this definitely made our experience even more special. The food was so good, we only wish we had taken containers for all the extra. We made use of the snowshoes but not the sauna due to late arrival. If we find ourselves in Finland again, we will most definitely return. The bed was comfy, the views were stunning and we were cosy and warm and felt at home. Thank you so much for such a gorgeous experience.”

Looking for something truly unique?

Why Here? Why This Far North?

This is one of the most remote inhabited areas in Europe – surrounded by vast official wilderness areas that are rarely seen by tourists. Here, silence is real, darkness is deep, and the skies stretch endlessly

Our experiences take place in places where there truly are no other people – no crowds, no light pollution, no other tours crossing your path. These are not curated nature settings, but the actual wilderness of Arctic Lapland.

Our family roots run deep in this area, and local culture is a natural part of everything we do. As we guide you through snow-covered forests or open tundra, we share the stories of this land – not only as guides, but as people whose lives are intertwined with the nature around us.

A northern location is most important if you want to see the Northern Lights. Statistically, our region sees auroras on 75% of clear nights from autumn to spring. The western fells shield us from clouds, and the complete darkness around the glamping makes the sky feel closer than anywhere else.

Not everyone gets here

And that’s exactly why it’s worth it

There may be more accessible places to visit in Lapland. But if you’re looking for something truly genuine – untouched landscapes, small group experiences, and quiet connection to Arctic nature and culture – you will find it here, beyond the usual routes.

Overnight Adventures Beneath the Aurora

If you wish to go even deeper into the Arctic night, join one of our guided overnight tours. On the Overnight Aurora Adventure or Multiday Autumn Adventure, you’ll sleep outdoors under the same vast sky, guided by the glow of firelight and the stories of the north. These journeys connect you directly with nature
