Nature walks and hiking in Lapland

A woman hiking in lapland wilderness, open tundra, Hetta Enontekio,

Discover amazing views over the wilderness areas or the national park by hiking in Lapland and learn about local history and way of life. The nature is incredible and the wilderness is very unique.

You can come with us for easy walking tours of a couple of hours or take part in a multi-day wilderness adventure by hiking in Lapland!

In early summer you can enjoy the midnight sun. When the sun rises at the end of May, it does not set again until mid-July. Especially early June is a wonderful time to hike in the wilderness or national park, watch how nature turns green and enjoy the midnight sun!

At the end of August, nature begins to prepare for winter, which turns the landscape into incredible colors! At the end of August, nature begins to prepare for winter and turns gorgeous autumn colors. The best autumn colors are around the first two or three weeks of September. We are able to see autumn colors on the ground for a long time in autumn, until the snow comes. Just before the snow, the frost may turn nature into beautiful frozen white. The first snow often falls in mid-October.

At the end of August it is dark enough to see the Northern Lights, the first since April. The Northern Lights are most impressive far out in the wilderness. Autumn is the best time for overnight or multi-night hikes! In autumn we may see the Northern Lights  not only dancing in the sky, but also as a reflection on the surface of the lake!

We have a saying here: ”the soul is resting”. It is a saying for the deepest experience of rest. This feeling comes when you are able to forget all your worries in life and live that moment in time. This feeling often comes in the wilderness. There are no other people there besides our group. All around you is nature, you can hear the silence and your mind wanders freely.
