Northern Lights tours in Hetta Enontekiö Lapland
Go beyond the ordinary
explore Lapland with those who have called it home for centuries
Choose the right Northern Lights experience
All our Northern Lights tours in Enontekiö Lapland are built around the same idea: quiet locations, small groups, and deep Arctic darkness. These small group Northern Lights tours take you into the wilderness, away from crowds, where you can experience the auroras in a more natural and peaceful way.
But they are designed for different kinds of experiences.
- Some tours are booked for a specific date and offer a complete Arctic evening, whether the Northern Lights appear or not.
- One tour is not booked in advance for a fixed day. Instead, we choose the night based on the best possible conditions.
If your main goal is to see the Northern Lights, choose the experience where we time the night for you.
If you want to enjoy a memorable Arctic evening regardless of the sky, choose one of the fixed-date experiences.

Why Enontekiö is one of the best places to see the Northern Lights
Our home lies far in the north of Lapland, directly under the Aurora Oval, the zone where Northern Lights activity is naturally strongest. Here, the auroras are seen more often than in southern parts of Lapland simply because of our location. Even lower activity can be enough to see them with the naked eye. The landscape is open and vast, offering wide views to the sky, and deep darkness is easy to reach here.
Your Experience With Us
All our experiences take place in the wilderness, away from crowds and artificial lights, where the night can be felt as it truly is. We take you into deep darkness, which is essential for seeing the Northern Lights. In total darkness, even weaker auroras can be seen with the naked eye. The landscape is open and vast, giving wide views to the sky, and the stillness of the surroundings allows you to experience the night in a deeper way.
There is no noise or distraction. When the Northern Lights appear, you don’t just see them. You feel them. Seeing the auroras in complete darkness, in deep silence, without a single artificial light around you, is something that stays with you. It moves you in a way no parking lot ever will.
We guide our tours ourselves, as locals who have spent our lives here and learned to understand the rhythms of nature and Arctic conditions. Our small group sizes create space for quiet moments and genuine encounters. This allows us to move at a natural pace and share the rhythm of local life in a simple and authentic way.
It is a way to experience this place as it is lived. This is home for us.
Autumn Northern Lights by the Water
Autumn brings a different kind of Northern Lights experience, one that many travelers never even realize is possible. By the end of August, the nights begin to darken enough for the first auroras to appear, and as September arrives and continues into early October, the conditions can become especially fascinating. On calm nights, the Northern Lights do not only appear in the sky, they can also reflect on the still surface of the water. Seeing the auroras mirrored on a quiet lake is one of the most special moments Lapland can offer.
Each of our Northern Lights tours takes place by a remote lake. Every location is different, carefully chosen for its darkness, silence, open views to the sky, and the presence of water. These places allow you to experience the Northern Lights in a way that feels both intimate and expansive at the same time.
